INTRODUCTION: This project is a collaborative writing experience designed to coordinate with reading Golding's novel, The Lord of the Flies.

Start Here!

STEP ONE: Meet with your group. Create a name for your island. The name for your island will also be the name for your group.

STEP TWO: Create a blogging account for your group to share. Consider using www.wordpress.com or check out a list of 40+ Free Blog Hosts on Mashable. Signing up for a blog requires an email address. One group member will need to use his/her email address to register and confirm registration. Do NOT use any blog hosting site that combines your blog account with your email account (such as google's blogger) because you and your group members will be sharing the account for this project. Questions? Ask your teacher.

Rules:

1. All group members must have access to editing the blog.

2. The blog account must be brand-new! If a group member already has a blog, you may NOT use that blog.

3. Be smart and secure. Do not include personal information that could endanger you. Questions? Ask your teacher.

4. No paying! Make sure you sign up for a free account.

5. TO THE STUDENT WHOSE EMAIL IS USED IN REGISTRATION: Do not give your email password to any group members. The password for the blog should be a password that you and the group members create together.
